Well, unless you have this page book marked, you probably have noticed the latest clinic announcement on the homepage of www.daddys.com  For those of you who haven’t heard, Daddy’s Junky Music is happy to announce two of our coolest clinics EVER!

First up, on Tuesday, July 24 @ 6:30 pm @ Daddy’s Manchester, NH, two legends are coming together for the first time ever in clinic and you will see this ONLY at Daddy’s!  Billy Sheehan and Doug Pinnick in clinic TOGETHER! Yeah, you heard me - Billy and Doug in ONE NIGHT!  :) Plus, there will be a special 20 minute acoustic performance before the clinic with Boston rock band ANGRY HILL! What makes this night even more special is that it is the launch of our new monthly series, in conjunction with http://www.banddigs.com/,  called “Daddy’s Live”!  Basically, http://www.banddigs.com/ will be webcasting live from Daddy’s each month, either for a clinic, meet & greet, product demos etc., and if you can’t make the event in person, you can now watch it LIVE on the web!  If you haven’t checked out http://www.banddigs.com/ yet, check it out - especially if you are in a band - its an incredible way for you to connect with your fans - the technology is amazing…and all it takes is a computer and a $20 webcam :)  Anyway, back to the events, so Tuesday, July 24th Billy Sheehan and Doug Pinnick and the next night, Wednesday, July 25th @ 6:30, we will be blowin’ the roof off of Daddy’s Boston with Doug Pinnick and Mike Mangini together in clinic for the first time!  Tickets for each of these events are $10 in advance / $12 day of show - We are having an internet pre-sale for these tix at www.daddys.com through June 30th.  These clinics WILL sell out, so I suggest you get your tix early!!!!!  After June 30th, tickets will be available, if there are any left, at ALL Daddy’s locations!

In other news….

According to rock news website Blabbermouth, the remaining members of legendary rock band Led Zeppelin, joined by Jason Bonham on drums, will be reuniting for a one off show in memory of the late Ahmet Ertegun - the founder of Atlantic Records who passed away earlier this year from injuries sustained from a fall at a Rolling Stones concert.  Well…WOW!  Not really sure what else to say about that other than WOW!

So, if you are one of those people sitting around wondering what to do with the $50,000 burning a hole in your pocket - I have a couple of suggestions.  My first is of course to stop by your local Daddy’s Junky Music and update your gear :)  I mean really, you know you’ve been eyeing that one piece - c’mon, I won’t tell your wife that you bought yet another guitar Oh, you don’t live near a Daddy’s location - no problem, you can always visit http://www.daddys.com/ and do a little online shopping.  But on the off chance that you aren’t in the market for a new piece of gear, here’s a suggestion on what to do with that 50k….

Seems Godsmack frontman Sully Erna is selling one of his custom choppers - this one to be exact…. It’s a 2003 H&L Custom Chopper that was filmed for the “SPEAK” video on MTV.

Mick “Seven” Thomson killed it again last night blowin’ the roof off the packed house at Daddy’s Junky Music Boston!  Fans from Connecticut, New Hampshire, Mass and Vermont started lining up around 3pm to catch a glimpse of the guitarist for Grammy award winning metal band Slipknot.  We have one more clinic tonight at Daddy’s Warwick, RI - seating is VERY limited there, so if you don’t have your ticket yet - I suggest that you run to your nearest Daddy’s Junky Music location and grab one!  See you tonight!  Oh, by the way, no…still no mask

These were only some of the subjects covered at last nights sold out Mick “Seven” Thomson clinic at Daddy’s Junky Music Portland, ME last night.  Hopefully those of you that attended had as much fun with Mick as he did with you guys!  From a 6 year old wearing a Slipknot mask to mom’s throwing metal horns - last night was tons of fun!  Mick can play, he knows his stuff and he’s got an opinion about everything, which certainly adds a certain comedic value to the clinic :)  We will be at Daddy’s Boston tonight and Daddy’s Warwick, RI on Wednesday - there are some tickets left for each of those so if you haven’t gotten them, I suggest you do so NOW!  They are available at all Daddy’s locations and on line at http://www.daddys.com/

Only 18 more days til’ Mick “Seven” Thomson, guitarist for Grammy award winning nu-metal band “Slipknot” take the stage at 3 Daddy’s Junky Music store locations! (see dates, locations & times below)  Get your tickets NOW as they are going fast!    Couple of things I want to make you guys aware of for this clinic:

1.   I have NO idea if he will be wearing his mask.  I’ll find you when you find out - during the clinic!

2.   No video or audio for these clinics and photos will be allowed only AFTER the clinic during the meet & greet.  I’m just the messenger

3.   well, there is no 3, just the 2 I guess….  it feels like there should be a 3 doesn’t it?

And for you drummers, don’t forget, the Ralph Peterson Xponent Quartet will be performing at Daddy’s Boston on Tuesday, June 26th @ 6:30pm.  Tickets for that performance are on sale now at all Daddy’s locations.  If you missed Ralph last time he came around to Daddy’s, DO NOT miss him this time - he is FANTASTIC!
