Shop Policies

Proof of purchase- A valid proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.

Minimum Bench Fee- A $30 deposit is required up-front for all non-warranty repairs.

Warranty Claims- The DJM repair department reserves the right to accept or reject any warranty claim based on the understandings of the warranty agreement of the item to be repaired.

Out of shop service- A shipping fee will be charged if your repair requires out of shop service.

Shipping fee will be waived if item is covered by DJM Expanded Benefits.

Please be sure to see if your repair requires out of shop service.

Estimates
  • Estimates can be provided for suspected major repairs.
  • We will not provide estimates for minor repairs.
  • There will be a $30 fee for refused estimates to cover our minimum bench fee.
Please be sure to provide a number where you can be reached during the day or an e-mail address where you can receive your estimate.

If you cannot be reached within one month, your repair will be returned to the store as a refused estimate with a $30 charge to cover our Minimum Bench Fee.

No Problem Found
A $30 bench fee will be charged for repair work requested on items that are found to be working properly according to DJM repair shop standards.

If the problem persists, this fee will be deducted from the cost of a subsequent repair.

Charges on Out of Shop Service repairs may vary and may also include shipping charges.

Fee also applies to No Problem Found on expected warranty repairs.

Turnaround Time
Repairs are handled on a First-in First-out basis.

Check with a salesman for anticipated turnaround time on repairs.

Parts availability may impact turnaround time.

You will be notified if your repair will exceed expected turnaround time.

Rush Service
Rush Service is available for an additional $30 fee.

Turn-around time on Rush Service is to be arranged with the service manager and is subject to certain conditions.

Conditions include parts availability, severity of repair work requested, shipping schedules.

Fee will be waived for items covered by DJM Expanded Benefits.

DJM Shop Warranty
Your repair is covered for 45 days from the date of pickup. (30 days on guitar set-ups and horn repairs).

Warranty only covers specific repairs performed while under the supervision of the DJM repair department.

Unrelated malfunctions are not covered.

Storage Fee
Repairs not picked up within 45 days from the date of completion will be charged $10 per week.

Abandoned Repairs
Repairs not picked up within 180 days from the date of completion will be sold to recover the cost of the bench fee, repair, storage, and selling cost.
