News and Tips from Digi…
Pro Tools continues to put out hit songs for artists and producers world wide. Did you know that most of the music you hear on the radio has most likely been through Pro Tools at on point or another? The Pro Tools LE systems are priced so everyone can afford it if they want. Why would you want anything else?
Let’s face it; if you are a recording guru like me, then you look to find out who recorded your fave songs, where it was recorded, and what kind of gear was used and so on. When have you ever seen hit songs recorded in Cakewalk or some other program other than Pro Tools? There is a reason why the pro’s use it folks! I will give you my 3 biggest reasons…
- Sound quality is unmatched by any other program
- Workflow, ease of use
- Compatibility with 3rd party software
The various systems that are available from Digidesign are built to suit the needs of almost anyone doing all types of recording. The Mbox Family includes the following; Mbox Micro, Mbox Mini, Mbox 2, and the Mbox 2 Pro. These interfaces offer a number of different recording solutions including phono preamps, mic preamps, digital input/outputs, and USB and Firewire connectivity. The price range for these systems is between 250 and 700. The Digi 003 Family includes the Digi 003 console and rack versions. These systems have more input/output offerings and range between 1200 and 2200.
